FAQ

  • What should I do if I knock out a tooth?

If you knock out a tooth, act quickly:

    • Pick up the tooth by the crown (top), not the root.
    • Rinse it gently with water—don’t scrub or remove tissue.
    • Try to place it back in the socket if possible.
    • If that’s not possible, store it in milk or saliva (or inside your cheek).
    • Call us immediately so we can provide further instructions and get you into our office.
  • Can I take painkillers before coming to your office?

Yes, if you are experiencing pain, taking over-the-counter relievers like acetaminophen or ibuprofen is fine. But you should avoid aspirin, as it may increase bleeding.

  • Are all same-day visits considered emergencies?

No, not all same-day appointments are considered emergency dentistry services. However, we prioritize cases based on the severity of the issue and possible issues that can result from delayed treatment.
